Cliff after the spring thaw
We checked out the mill site today on a rainy (but not too cold) day. The site looks good overall. The backfill covering last year’s excavations have settled a bit but its much easier to see where we were working in person than it is in the photo. Unfortunately someone decided to dig/pull out rocks under the stone wall separating the stamp room from the wash house. The damage is not too bad. Its just too bad that people just keep their hands off this site and let it be so that people can continue to enjoy it as it is for decades to come.
