Second Weekend of Public Tours

Here’s our very own Trevor Curtis explaining how a stamp mill operates to one group of visitors that came out on Saturday.

We had some decent weather yesterday and that brought out over 80 visitors to the site. From what I gather some of our visitors spent hours visiting the excavations and then hiking along the cleared trails using a map we’ve created for the event. Another mild day today will hopefully mean a higher number. We’ve got students itching to practice interpreting what they’ve learned. If we’re lucky TV6 will stop out today and with that promotion next weekend (when are wrapping up) will see hundreds of visitors.
