June 17, 2013: Sunday’s Open House

Students clean artifacts excavated during the 2013 field season in Clifton, Michigan.

Kaeleigh Herstad, Brenden Pelto, and Alex Normand washing artifacts and speaking with visitors during their shift in the welcome tent.

Thanks to an energetic and excited field crew, we had a great open house on Sunday.  The weather was perfect for visitors, sunny and not-too-warm, with a good breeze holding the mosquitos at bay!  We had about 40 visitors that came out to see us on Father’s day afternoon.  Combined with the 33 yesterday and the five people that visited earlier in the summer, I figure we’ve had around 80 visitors so far this season.

A number of people offered very complementary feedback. I appreciate everyone’s interest and support!

Tell all your friends! Two more open house weekends to go!
